Coordinator of Eastern Europe Ministry

Position Description:

The Coordinator of Eastern Europe Ministry will have primary responsibility for developing and coordinating the implementation of NHI’s Eastern Europe ministry activities. In this capacity the EEMC will work with the President of New Hope International to:

  • Develop, implement and have primary accountability for managing an annual Eastern Europe ministry plan with country specific goals and objectives
  • Evaluate the performance of NHI’s ministry teams in Eastern Europe, and manage the training and development of its ministry leadership
  • Develop and cultivate new and existing ministry partnerships in NHI’s European countries of focus
  • Coordinate with the Director of U.S. Ministry Operations all planning and execution of Short Term Mission activities, Vision Tours, and national staff training and travel in Europe and the U.S.
  • Develop the required skills to lead Vision Tour

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in faith-based non-profit organizations
  • International perspective, with knowledge of Eastern Europe and experience in cross cultural ministry
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross cultural ministry environments, with established mentoring and coaching skills
  • Proven organizational development skills in recruiting, training and employee development
  • Relevant work history in managing a broad range of details across a multi-cultural geographic set of ministry programs
  • Proven creativity and good judgment in internal and external communications
  • Proven financial acuity
  • Success in teambuilding internally and externally through partnershi

Requirements:

  • Be a committed follower of Christ
  • Have the ability to work across denominations
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate the desire to learn by seeking the direction, coaching and approval of supervision
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the vision and values of New Hope International
  • Be able to communicate effectively –both verbally and in writing-- and build trust within a cross cultural organization
  • Effectively manage and be accountable for plans and budgets
  • Effectively build and cultivate relationships leading to effective teamwork  internally and externally
  • Personally and for the organization demonstrate a results based focus
  • Responsible for personally raising 75% of salary and benefits for this position
