Programs for High School Students

New Hope Czech Republic works with youth in the public schools providing "AIDS, Sex & Dating" lectures in high schools with follow-up evangelism. We have prepared a new follow-on project called the Bouda House Club. Thanks to a local church in Turnov, which has provided space in a house where we have started a Youth club. This is a place where students can come after lectures, to talk with Petr or other staff members or volunteers, to take a rest, use the internet and so on. This will also provide opportunities to talk with a pastor or borrow any of New Hope’s books. The club is open in the afternoon and there are volunteers, as well as a New Hope staff member available, who will be able to help the young people.

Programs for Children from Kindergarten and Primary Schools

We provide regular (weekly) Bible lessons taught using flannel graphs, as well as programs about real meanings of Christmas and Easter.

Counseling

New Hope Czech Republic provides family counseling and counseling for people in crisis.

Puppet Ministry

Our puppet ministry consists of Christian puppet shows for the public schools, as well as organizing a puppet conference for potential new teams. Each year we begin about four new puppet ministry groups.

English as a Second Language and Camps

Christian conference for non-Christians

We plan to organize a conference for Christian ministries for non-Christians. For example – puppet performances, Christian concerts, Christian dramas and so on. In 2007 we reached more than1,000 young un-churched people.

NATO invades Turnov!

The invasion was GREAT. 200 young Americans, children of American military who work at NATO bases around Europe, spent their Spring vacation working and getting to know a different culture. They built playgrounds and volleyball courts, presented English as a second language program in schools, sports, ....

Mainly they helped us to open doors to new schools and deepen relationship with current schools. The last day we had a Children's day and more than 1000 kids attended.

4 newspapers and national radio provided coverage about New hope and this project.
